Not Finished Yet-But Someday...

Dear God, I am growing in my faith. I am growing in my knowledge of your Word. I am growing as a woman and as a mother. I am growing in my ministry to others. Sometimes I fall short in my attitudes and actions. Still, I am growing....

What a wonderful work you began in my life. You gave me peace, confindence, and gentlness I never knew before.

On my final day on earth, dear God, whether it is because Jesus comes back to gather those who love Him or because I am at the moment of my death, I look forward to seeing you face to face and knowing that your work in my life has been perfected.

Mr. Robert was a wealthy business man from the region of Norwich. He received the call of God to serve in India. He wrestled with his call and decided to strike a deal with God. He wanted to save wealth before he left to India.  He invested his money and waited for God's favour. First World War took him away from his family and when he returned, he found that his friends had swindled his wealth. Robert was bitter against God. He decided not to go to India and settled in Canada. After his death his wife raised his 6 children, 2 girls and 4 boys, in God-fearing way.  The boys went their own direction, earning and living their own way. Moral of the story is....

It was a perfect day for story telling. It was raining outside and it was warm and cozy in our bed room on our bed. We, my daughters Imman and Joe cuddling next to me, were enjoying our story time together. It was not a new story but our favorite. Jesus multiplying 5 loaves and 2 fish to a multitude. We had a great time, thinking of the all possible fine details of the event... How Jesus went up the hill, how He managed to tell the huge crowd with His still small voice, how the mother of the boy who gave his 'all' to Jesus, would have carefully packed his lunch for the picnic... so on... Imman filled me in with her imaginations... Joe was listening to the story. Though Joe has a limited vocabulary, she could connect my words with the pictures on the book. The incident came to an end as I told about the collecting the leftovers in the baskets. After the happy ending I asked what about the "moral of the story"... Moral of the story is ........
